Canoeing Routes

In the summer of 2006 a survey of the canoeing routes has been produced in accordance with international rapid water classifications, both in Kemijärvi and Pelkosenniemi areas. A printable version of these routes is in supplement. The texts are in Finnish.

Areas to be surveyed:

• Kemijoki River: Pelkosenniemi – Kemijärvi
• Vuotosjoki River: Ahvenvittikko – Kemijoki River
• Kitinen River: Kurkiaska – Kokkosniva
• Pyhäjoki River, Vuostimojoki and Kalkiaisjoki rivers in their entirety.
