Juujärvi Village - Nationally Valuable Landscape / in Kemijärvi

The village of Juujärvi on the road 944 is a nationally valuable landscape region. One of its special characteristics is the riverside settlement areas located on the central sections of the River Kemijoki set in a Northern Ostrobothnian hillside and river district, representing a rare and significant entirety. The Seitakorva Hydropower Plant upstream from the village of Juujärvi in Kemijärvi is one of the ten largest hydropower plants in Finland.
